Midnight Mischief Embroidery Patterns Are Here!

Iโ€™m so excited to share my first collection of embroidery patterns with you! This set of five witchy, whimsical designs comes with a generous dose of sass, chaos, and catharsis.

This collection began as a way for me to process my own emotions about the world. Like many of us, Iโ€™ve felt frustration, resentment, and outright disgust at the injustices around us. So, I picked up my sketchbook (okay, tablet) and embroidery hoop and started stitching those feelings into fabric and thread. Each design in Midnight Mischief is a little act of turning heavy emotions into something playful, rebellious, and just a bit magical.

Hereโ€™s a peek at whatโ€™s inside the collection

Hoarding Grudges

Sometimes it feels impossible not to hold onto anger at the injustice and cruelty of the world. Since I know carrying it around myself isnโ€™t healthy, I created this little dragon to do it for me. Hoarding Grudges is a tiny guardian of grump and grudge who collects your resentments and guards them like glittering treasureโ€”so maybe, just maybe, you can let them go.

Hexpress Delivery: Karma

This was the very first design I sketched, because honestly, I just needed to see karma shipped straight to the people whoโ€™ve earned it. The Hexpress Delivery bat is a cute little winged courier with a special midnight package: one freshly cursed dose of FAFO, ready to fly.

Essence of Chaos

You know that moment when youโ€™ve explained yourself one too many timesโ€”why kindness matters, why respect should be a givenโ€”and all you want to do is scream or smash something? Essence of Chaos bottles up that pent-up rage, just waiting to be unleashed when civil negotiations fail.

Manifesting Mayhem

This oneโ€™s for when you just donโ€™t have the energy left to play nice. Manifesting Mayhem is a mischievous feline familiar who is fed up with the status quo and is ready to start knocking things over (literally or metaphorically) to make a point.

Spun from Spite

And if Iโ€™m allowed to play favorites (I am), Spun from Spite has my whole heart. This defiant little arachnid is determined to shine no matter whatโ€™s thrown his way. He weaves his empire thread by glittering thread, powered not by approval but by sheer spite. And heโ€™ll be damned before he lets anyone erase him.

How to Get Them

The full collection of 5 patterns is now available in my Ko-fi shop. You can grab them individually or as a bundle if you want the whole mischief-making set.

Whatโ€™s Included

Each Midnight Mischief PDF pattern comes with:

  • A full-color reference image of the design
  • An easy-to-print black and white pattern
  • A DMC thread color guide
  • Stitching tips and notes based on my own test-stitching process
  • Permission to sell your finished pieces (with credit to me as the designer)

These patterns are beginner-friendly but still detailed enough to be fun for more experienced stitchers.

Closing Thoughts

This collection came out of a need to stitch my frustrations into something tangibleโ€”and to remind myself (and maybe you too) that itโ€™s okay to feel messy, angry, or fed up sometimes. Creativity can hold those emotions and turn them into something catharticโ€”beautiful, funny, or just a little wicked.

I hope youโ€™ll find joy (and maybe a little wicked satisfaction) in bringing these designs to life.

Happy stitching,
โ€”Fray
